I think it will affect baseball. I'd assume that dudes outside of America who are below the tiers of draft prospects get recruited to play at different college baseball programs in the states.

EVERYBODY plays baseball in some countries. Not all of them will make MLB majors or minors.

Members who are alumni let me know that HBCUs with baseball teams recruit international players, mostly from Latin America.
