This chick I work with graduated from there recently
But she works in our customer service dept.
Makes no sense lol
She says its growing but it's the weakest out of all the UCs
You wont get a UC education there
More like a good CSU education
They don't posses the power to lure in great professors yet
I wouldn't even par it with the Cal Polys

Well graduation % is proportional to the quality of teachers and help out there. Which is important to the people that usually qualify for the scholarships and grants, coming from poverty, which is the another slider.
Also , There Research Ranking reached top 10 in the world last year ,
UCR Today: UC Riverside Natural Sciences and Engineering Ranked Top Ten in the World in Leiden Ranking
But untill someone gets a nobel prize from there , they will always be dwarfed by prestige.
But to a person that only needs the book , not a teacher and support , also has his parents pay for it all then this ranking doesn't mean anything.

Went to Indiana where I played sports and majored in Psychology
Came back home and well...
you cant do shyt with a psych degree without your masters
So im at a .com overseeing customer resolutions
Decided to go back to school in my mid 20's and do something I love
Aerospace
Got into Stanford
Spent a year there collecting $40,000 in debt
and yes,
Just 1 year put me in that much debt
Took a job in silicon valley
Fast forward a few years and I'm back in school
Tour'd San Jose St. a few years back and was really impressed with not only the Engineering Dept.
But they have a helluva flight program too
Always vowed I'd never attend a state school but SJSUs Technology programs are on par with UCs
So now I'm here
Doing a summer internship at United too while I work and I'm off of school
Make sure you get internships brehs

I don't think I care about the "Stuff" to do. I mainly workout, and go camping/hiking/hunting on the weekends. At 31, I am a little old for all the clubs, bars and restaurants.
I mean a new house in San Jose starts at almost million dollars?! Even at the median Income out here, which is 90-100K, that is unaffordable.

our republican senate decided not to even entertain the idea of voting on a bill that would allow tesla to sell its cars directly to consumers. the dealership lobby bought them off, plus i take it some conservatives seem to just hate tesla as well. the company wants to break ground this summer, and texas said they are actually willing to consider changing their laws but they havent committed to anything yet. we completely blew it and now texas and nevada are probably ahead of us. i cant quite figure how they feel about new mexico, but new mexico, i believe, already allows tesla to sell directly. i dont see why we couldnt have at least stalled to see if texas would do it before summer, then if they dont, we wouldnt have to either and our senators can cash their dealership lobby checks and be happy and we still would have been near the top of the list to get these jobs. unforced error
