Tesla share price route has shown us that it’s a car company not a Tech one and it’s CEO is very flawed

The mere existence of an electric VW Golf was when I knew I'd never end up owning a Tesla - always thought I'd end up in a Model 3 or it's spiritual successor, but why would I turn up a manufacturer with 75 years experience creating an electric version of a car with 50 years pedigree over a Silicon Valley startup who seem more interested in making cars "Ludicrous" than useful and comfortable.

Tesla had the whole market in their hands for YEARS and did nothing with it but make dumb-expensive supercars that went fast in straight lines and put one in orbit. The Model 3 was supposed to be ubiquitous by now, but I could walk out of my flat right now, drop cash and drive home in an electric Hyundai or Volkswagen - I can't even get a reliable DATE for when I'd be able to actually take delivery of a Model 3 in the UK.
