Never said it wasn't more prevalent on our side. I essentially answered the question asked: How many well to do white men go after black women? More than people realize. If you want to move the goalposts, or add qualifiers like dude above doing DNA tests... go for it.
This isn't a race issue, this is a woman issue. All women get down like this, it's just that black women normally don't have the financial means to pull out the W in court. More white men are getting screwed than black men. That's why white men stay with their wives. Don't think it's because they are better men and love their wives, or understand commitment and family. I usually avoid these kinda threads, and often question that Coli's, especially the Locker Room's, preoccupation with interracial and racial stuff, but the possibility of not having an expressed, visible trait of your blackness in your great-grandchildren is a consideration.
All in all, I believe it's all divisive. But it boils down to each individual's priorities and values.
If it's a love is love, perspective, I dunno if the person will care much...at least initially. But I think it'd be wise to ponder the scenario of not having visible trait of your blackness in your great-grandchildren if you marry and procreate interracially, especially white.
It's tough to anticipate how you'd feel 30 years from now, but that scenario should be considered. But maybe if it's love, the aforementioned scenario wouldn't even be a fleeting thought.
But yeah, your dating pool is usually shaped by your surroundings, proximity and network. If you're primarily around white folks, then that's your pool.
Proximity is probably still the most significant element in relationship building.

But dating, in general, can be difficult. And finding a marriage partner can be that much more difficult!
So, if you have certain preferences based on compatibility (financial, credit rating, status, worldview etc.), then it could be especially tough in a city that doesn't have a high visibility of black women meeting your compatibility standards.
It's a tough call. And trying to remain "true" in a city that appears to have very little offerings based on your personal compatibility standards can end up frustrating, and could have you missing the marriage boat.
What's been discussed in this thread is an intensely personal decision, but could also require some level of collective identity/awareness if you're trying to stay "true" ... for lack of a better word.

It's not like the black race is gonna die out or anything. I have a white dad and black mom, I think I look black enough and will probably get with somebody black.
I'm gonna be honest with my mind frame as far as being in an inter-racial couple...Though I never had one used or used one towards any s/o, I know there's always be a possibility of a racial-slur to come from someone's mouth. I personally never used the N-word and I pretty much make that clear from the door. Also I never put any black person down in front of her. Never wanted to make it seem like it was ok to do so. Had to lead by example.
I think it all starts with self-respect and how you treat your people. Black people are already known for not having unity. If you as a black person put black people down, don't be surprised and mad if some non-black joins in with negative remarks.
