People don't seem to like this trailer but to me this looks to be easily the best out of the post-T2 bunch.

Rise of the Machine was alright once they got past the talk to the hand nonsense they were doing at the beginning.
Salvation felt like they repurposed some other future war movie into a terminator movie, they had killer motorcycles and a transformer in that shyt.
Genisys was basically a greatest hits fan ficition and Emilia and Jai Courtney were terrible leads.

All those movies were pretty mediocre action wise as well.

It looks like they're actually trying from a story perspective this time. The Mexican angle is interesting. Them sitting on top of the train with the immigrants trying to get into America is probably the most visually interesting thing they've done with this franchise since T2 and is reminiscent of the first 2 movies when they would those down time moments of the characters just chopping it up.

Looks like basura. Sorry if you're still a fan of this franchise. It's dead.
Im not gonna prejudge but they cast the perfect people in The Sarah Connor Chronicles should have looked to them for the movies imo.

This is the theme of the movie though. He's been told his whole life that he's some kind of savior, but everything his mom has taught him seems to have been a waste of his life and hers. He's basically a bum in the beginning of T3. It's only after the terminators start showing up that he sees his mom was right. What I loved is how T3 rolls seamlessly into the storyline. We see that the events in T2 weren't about stopping the rise of the machines, but getting John Connor prepared for it.

They copy the same theme from the first two Terminator movies. The theme of the helpless endangered human being protected by the guy from the future/Terminator sent from the future. T3 was just an asscheeks version of T1 and T2. They use the same theme, so they had make John Connor a lame ass bum so he can need protecting. They ruin John's character development. I'm supposed to believe this bum is going to be the savior of mankind? Sarah Connor went from being helpless in T1 to a badass with a stockload of army guns in T2. John Connor should been some ROTC turn Navy Seal Officer with some leadership skills established instead of some leader by default that reached a nuclear bomb shelter first.
