He didn't bail Crawford out, Crawford just finally figured out how to neutralize Porters offense, which is a step back punch. It's why I was wondering why Spence didn't do it to Porter when he displayed a beautiful step back jab against Mikey.

How Porter fights is what made him lose to Crawford. Porter wants to fight in a phone booth but he comes in all wrong. He uses feints, level changes and stutter steps to come in which will work for a period of time, but once a fighter realizes you aren't throwing any punches to come inside he played right into what Crawford wants to do, which is be able to have time and find his range to pepper you with punches. If Porter knew how to come in behind a jab(which Spence does) it would have been a completely different fight.

What happened was what was supposed to happen..Porter lept into some shyt and Crawford caught him clean as a whistle...the inside counter punching. Porter fell for it. Didn't see it coming.

I'm a huge fan of both dudes. I'm one of the first Errol fans here. I remember when he went pro and Ronnie Shields telling me he had next.

I just don't think any fighter is invincible.

Porter actually said it on his podcast. He said that is the difference between Spence and Crawford. He said Spence wants to beat you at your own game and Crawford wants you to beat him at his game. I listen to Porter's podcast and remember him saying it, he said Spence came in there trying to beat him at Porter's game. Came out of the mans mouth.

Porter was doing youruber podcast, and mentally out the game when he fought Bud. His father loterally explained this and its why he tossed the towel. He knew going in Porter wasnt the same hence he felt he had to teach Shawn a lesson that you cant half ass against Bud. The Spence loss broke Porter. After that his focus was completely life after boxing.
