WWE always does this to their larger wrestlers :snoop:

They start them off all serious and intimidating......then for whatever reason (usually because they don't get over well with fans fast enough); they have them suddenly turn face as "funny, goofy big guys who are funny because they're big and they're supposed to be scary since they're big, but instead they're goofy so they're funny and fans will like them"

Tensai....Brodus.....Big Show.....Kane.....Kozlov.....Khali....Kenzo Suzuki....I could go on and on.......:snoop:

Hadnt heard this name in forever

I think the last big heel monster they had that they never turned goofy was Umaga. (Rest in Peace)

:laff::laff::laff: good ol Lord Tensai
If he waited, and joined bulletclub with Karl Anderson, and eventually left when him and gallows did, he would be in a better place.

But, that's like two or three years later, and he left because he missed his family. And he has a good job in the company now. So be it :manny:

Very much true, just the way his tenure went down was tragic. I had actually kept up with him before he came over from Japan, so when he made the jump back to the WWE, I was pretty hype. But when he actually showed up, they exaggerated a lot of stuff he was doing. Great for the Japan audience, but for the WWE audience, that still remembers you as A-Train and Albert, it was awful. The slow movements, the posturing, and that dumb angle with Sakamoto(??) that led to nothing. This dude came from Japan with a lot of fanfare, ended up beating CM Punk and John Cena - two of the hottest wrestlers at the time - in back to back weeks, and eventually ended up dancing with The Funkoonsaurus and wearing lingerie :mjlol:what a complete failure of a push.

I still think it would've been dope AF if they had Tensai beat these jobbers unconscious while Ryback squashes 2-3 jobbers at a time. Have them both stay undefeated for a while and then have them clash. :banderas:
