No, I get that. But if they've given that amount for all sports over a four year period how much could he have really gotten from them. Was just providing additional info to other dudes point about them not having money like that.

Fasho I feel you then. Yeah UCLA is the last school known for prioritizing sports like that. They DO have the money, shyt they got tons of dough. They just not gon spend it on football/bball, and they're not gonna beg their donors for it.

The fact they're trying to spin it like it wasnt about the $ tells you be might've not even got 1M

I trust Joel and I heard on Cover 3 podcast that there was a harsh takedown of the Tennessee offense so there might be some truth to this but yeah Nico and fam played this all wrong even if their concerns were legit.

Student athletes vs college institution (UT, coaches/GMs from other schools, journalists, TV networks)....Nico is guaranteed to lose the public perception/narrative spin

You didn’t know? He willingly left a top 10 team that was paying him over $2 million/year to be an average QB to go take a pay cut to play for UCLA…..in football…..all because they have a more favorable offense (for an OC that has never called plays and nobody can tell you how their offense will look). And also, this was done as a big black power fukk you to the cac coaches at Tennessee while he shyts on all these c00ns, even though he’s a Samoan and isn’t black.
c00ns furious :mjlol:

The wait for where former Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava plays next in his college career continued Wednesday as the spring transfer portal opened.

UCLA is among the schools interested in Iamaleava, but not for nearly the money he was asking for from Tennessee, sources told ESPN. One source said UCLA was content to "sit tight" while Iamaleava considered his options.

Sources told ESPN that Iamaleava wanted at least $4 million from Tennessee and that what UCLA was prepared to offer him wasn't remotely close to that figure. Iamaleava was earning $2.4 million at Tennessee under the contract he signed with Spyre Sports Group, the Tennessee-based collective, when he was still in high school. It's a deal that would have paid him in the $10 million range had he stayed four years at Tennessee.

Not even being reported as official yet. UCLA not even commenting on it like its official.

Cacs lost tho :mjlol:

7-8 wins for Tenn it is

This what I was wondering once the smoke cleared and everybody at Tennessee got done patting each other on the back for taking a stand. Thought they had at least a four star QB in the wings on some next batter up sh*t :patrice:
