They will treat each person he shot as a different count. He will get off for the first dude (Passenger), He will go to jail for the second person (Driver), if the driver died, its a rap for breh. It's hard to claim self defense when the person you shot was fleeing.

He will likely get off on the one that died. If all else fails it might be the one that lived that gets him locked up. Hopefully if it does get to that extent he could just plea out to assault or something and get 5 and walk away in 2.5.
