Interesting article, didn't necessarily tell me anything new.
It's neither here nor there now.
Bernie lost, Hillary lost
The fukking world is crumbling around us.

All this rear view mirror gazing doesn't help any of us.

If either of them were to run in 2020 -God forbid
I suppose everyone can hop right back into their prospective
Corners then and argue about purity.

If we even have an election, depending how many supreme Court seats Cheeto gets to fill...

Sigh.

Bernie’s favorite scapegoat was DNC chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz. Already very unpopular with Democrats, DWS made a perfect target for Bernie’s petty vengeance. Long before the WikiLeaks DNC hack, Bernie was committing significant resources to supporting her primary challenger, Tim Canova. A nobody with no real platform outside of a rabid hatred of Wasserman-Schultz, Canova is today most well known for aggressively pushing the Seth Rich conspiracy.

Breh. I don't know exactly when, but somewhere politics turned into the playground.

Like...your 6th grade asb president who promised soda drinking fountains seems more credible than the leader of our country.

You ever look at accelerationsim? The idea is pretty selfish and neglects certain individuals directly affected by this administration, but it was what comforted me from the general election til now :mjcry:

Only briefly. Basically that Capitalism will eat itself alive if unchecked? But democracy was supposed to hold it back? Or slow the pace? Or am I mistaken?

Either way, we look fukked. :scust:

Basically some catastrophic events would have to happen for the masses to wake up and see the late stages of capitalism for what they really are (Parasitic and functioning without conscience).

Trump could be one of the catastrophic events that changes the way the MAJORITY of people think in our DEMOCRACY. When was the last time anyone paid this close attention to the secretary of education, presidential advisers, secretary (secretaries:lolbron:) of press, fbi positions and intelligence agencies?

I personally believe that the same microscope being held over trump would be held over Hillary if she had won, and for that reason I'm still somewhat complacent with the results. Obama was like 8 years of piss in white people's Wheaties. The populist presence on both sides of the 2016 election was a long time coming, and proved that the majority of people feel "disenfranchised" or whatever. Global communication and oral histories made the current social contention inevitable. I've said it before, but as a white person with a history degree and still learning, its hard to find another population whose physical agency and labor has been exploited as much as African Americans. Your individual and collective resilience, and success, is not lost on everyone. It could be subconscious preservation, but I hope this country figures its shyt out without moving anymore more goalposts to scapegoat and marginalize.

Slavery in America "ended" in 1865, but convict leasing became an immediate opportunity for "entrepreneurs" and suddenly the black inmate population exploded and were working on railroads. Then you had sharecropping which lasted until the mid 20th century (and ended because of efficient mechanization, not civil rights). Racist job, loan, and housing policies? Now we're here. I do believe in the merit of America's balance of powers, constitution and all that....I'm concerned over what happens the majority of the country doesn't. /drunk rant
