Saving yourself for marriage made more sense in the 40s when people got married at like 19 years old and never got divorced.

African families (espcially in Canada) can be very strict and sheltered

African families are strict but few are "sheltered" and that doesn't mean that the people are not having sex. Just like in the Asian community there are more teens having sex than you think. They just are not as promiscuous as North Americans. I went to 8th grade in Kenya. We had more action than high schoolers and it didn't matter if the girls were Muslim Christian, Black or Arab.
