Only 1 team I the east has been better over the last 10 games and their offense is starting to click? I feel like we’re in real danger of another 2016-18 type scenario if that keeps up if they can’t land a genuine top guy. What big moves can be made during the season?

I don't think there is a move to make to be honest. We will have a lot of cap space going into the 26/27 year and I don't think they will mess with that unless they trade for a franchise player.

We didn’t deserve to win. We were sleepwalking the first 3 quarters and it caught up to us

- Spo gives Herro too much free reign. Herro's a rich man's Jamal Crawford, but giving the keys like he's a white James Harden. I could see doing it to get his trade value up, but it seems like Spo really believes in him and willing to die with him.

- Weren't the Heat in the bonus when Jimmy got fouled on that last inbounds play? How is that not automatic FTs?

- I hate when the primary offense is to throw it into Bam for a mid-paint post up :francis: eventually they gon have to accept that Bam is what he is, and he ain't that

- would like to Jaquez get more of a shot to run the offense, but primarily a mid range back to basket Kobe/Melo/Perice type of offense. Not top of the key PNR offense.

It's not like we have anyone else to go to as our number one option. :yeshrug:

Bam just never gonna take that jump offensively

I think I am okay with that because of what he brings defensively. We just need to put players around him so we don't have to rely on him for offense. I think he would be a great third or fourth option on a contending team.

That’s been the issue for this team for ages. Everyone has to play 1-2 levels above what their actual ceiling as a scorer and playmaker is, so the holes in their game are that much more glaring.

This was disgusting to watch.

Herro is the only bright spot on this team. I love Bam but I don’t know what else to say at this point when it comes to his offense

Blow it up
I’ve been saying for years that they need to. Look at every champion since the merger besides the 2004 pistons. The worst best player on a champion since the merger besides Billups of course is probably 2014 Tim Duncan or 2011 Dirk Nowitzki, both of whom played on crazy deep and talented squads. We don’t have anyone close to even that. You also generally (aside from the 2014 spurs who were the deepest team of all time) need a top scorer who gets at least 25+ per game. The Heat haven’t had a guy average even 23 per game since 2013-14 now. Pretty sure they’re the only team to not have even a 23 per game scorer since then. They’re not having any luck getting that type of mvp contender in free agency or the trade market so they need to admit this core failed and blow it up to pursue their next cornerstone in the draft. We’re just wasting time otherwise. This ain’t football or baseball where you can turn it around I’m short order like that so let’s just commit to it already.

Pat needs to admit to himself this core ain’t good enough and hit the reset button already
relying on Dru Smith & Heywood Highsmith to play starter/rotation minutes & think you are a serious I'm sorry of one those guys playing big minutes ok but two of them Running it back with just different undrafted crew each year enough.
Bam just never gonna take that jump offensively
That is just not him at this point & fans need to just accept it he is never going to be a 23/24/25-point scorer
