If you ask me, we need to go back to Tekken 4 or 5. I can't vouch for 4, but I started at 5 and thought that was simple.


I read this post and somebody said once them juggles extended with Tekken 6, it was down hill. Tekken 8 you might as well put the controller down once they launch you.

Fans hated 4 for the mechanics and small roster but love the aesthetic and atmosphere more than any other one besides 3 and maybe 5 at the same time. So at least 4 has that. And the two things not liked you can make cases for. They got rid of geckos and kangaroos to focus on Kazuya's revival with that futuristic apocalyptic feel for the new millennium, they tried to make the series feel more real and ended up breaking it, it didn't work

Nothing's working for 8. Everybody's forced to play the same way or you can't win, there's too much particle shyt to even enjoy watching, iconic characters don't even look how they've looked the last 30 years. I think 8's Harada's last game IIRC, the next game probably needs to be a reboot of the whole franchise. New guy needs to start at 1 and work to re-introducing Jin, Xiaoyu etc. Less sci-fi demon shyt, simpler story, no french ninja samurais

Yeah, taking away Asuka armored heat engager sucks and what they replaced it with is hot garbage. They should have given it to one of her kick attacks.

she doesn't need the properties of that move to be safe, a power crush, and a heat engager. that was a trash mechanic. especially when heat can be activated at any point every round(another trash game mechanic)

I didn't think it was. Power crush heat engagers never really bothered me outside of Victor's.

its a braindead mechanic. My biggest issue is that it takes away the choice of whether you want your heat activated or not. for example strategically I may be wanting to save my heat for a certain point in the match like after i've gotten your health down 25% or after a normal launch into a heat combo extender, but I need the power crush to get out of pressure. making a power crush move also a heat activator made 0 sense

game is miserable to play. s1 was far from perfect but you could see IF they made the right moves it would be better. this patch is so bad it will take years to fix it.

I think my tekken 8 story finally is at its end lol.


game is miserable to play. s1 was far from perfect but you could see IF they made the right moves it would be better. this patch is so bad it will take years to fix it.

Season 2 ain’t nothing but season 1 before the 1st balance patch. No matter how much they polish a turd it will always be a turd. They can’t fix this game unless they go back to using the developers they had before Tekken 7.

But I will stick to my intital stances that this game can be fun. Just not on a competitive level(tournament and ranked)
