def a lil quicker and upbeat...but not bad at all. i dont know if i can articulate it but i found it to be refreshing. the melody was dope and i think it would be if it were slowed or tuned down perhaps but the tempo being higher was cheesing and pop. its def hip hop although its at a faster pace. im probably over analyzing it for what it is but right now i think the gap between higher tempo'd hip hop and rapping over pop beats or rap artist on pop beats are blurred. this stayed in the pocket.
Here is another one
i feel you. i had very similar thoughts then i got comfortable with tempo and let it ride out. after a couple of listens and before i posted i took a minute and was like "how is this different?" and thats how i came to my thoughts about how its a faster tempo but not feeding into the pop type fast tempo.yeah, i wasn't saying it's 'not rappable' or it's not hip-hop or anything like that. it was just when i was listening to it, i thought it'd be better at a lower tempo. that sample is more atmospheric to me...so drawing it out instead of speeding it up works better in my mind. then again, it might sound like shyt my way. i dunno.
i just listened and typed what i was thinking.
either way, i love @TEKBEATZ stuff. and when he steps out his comfort zone....even better. i don't know what to expect. but in that case, i can say that shyt's probably either all sorts of fukked up or it's gonna be dope as hell.

Thanks famDope concept. love the idea of a themed beattape. The second track was cool. looking forward to hearing more.
Dope flip bro. I used the same sample a while back.
