It’s not the medical community it’s the religious right community. The medical community doesn’t write and pass laws.

Sorry to hear about your experiences and congrats to y’all on your kids.

Lawmakers are able to write in exceptions for these cases, just as how in Ohio and other states they are stating there are no exceptions even for incest and rape. In the end it all comes down to how these medical procedures are categorized under the law.
