Man I'm from the south when I heard Tee Grizzley first day out I thought he was some drug dealer kingpin who beat a case because he had so much money because that's the what happened to a few guys from my city.

But then I see him on breakfast club and dude was in prison for breaking in dorm rooms and a smash and grab at a jewelry store.

SMH, I thought he was a boss...

Dont feel bad breh, I honestly thought the same thing. Alot of these cats know his story so listening to the song they were to decipher what he was talking about. For someone on the outside looking in, you would have had to guess what crime he took part in.

I still don't get what the fuss is about in regards to the song. Its alright, but its nothing special. And it stills sounds like some low budget local dime store bullshyt. But I guess.......

Lot of you guys just exposed your lack of street sense/talk or complete of lyrical comprehension...

I stand on what I said...
The whole damn song is a song about a dude selling big weight who beat the case because he had money for good lawyers.

But in reality he was a petty thief who went to prison for a smash and grab and breaking in dorm rooms.

If you're interacting with fiends or in any house where coke is being cooked, you ain't no kingpin breh.

Man if you can move a half a pound every morning you aint thinking about breaking into a college dorm room...

I'd disagree with you strongly here... Now if you said raiding dorm rooms was suspect as a so called baller I'm with you 100%

I'm saying this is the corniest nikka in earth. Now he's real cause he recycles the same jail story. His situation was like when you fail that first GTA V heist. Dude is big too coulda been a DT or something

:russ: but that's real talk tho. I dnt care where you from dnt anybody get less respect in the streets than petty thiefs. That's corny low level street shyt :yeshrug:

I swear I was thinking the same thing... Not only First Day Out but his other songs are loaded with him trying to make himself out to be some comic book level super villain.

This nicca went to college and started breaking into dorm rooms stealing laptops and sh1t. He was hitting crackhead type licks and then went to a jewelry store to do a smash and grab and a patron put the tool on him and made him wait until the laws came.

Paid lawyers in and out of court? He went on the Breakfast Club and said he had a public defender.

Y'all can't tell dude is a clown? He's living off of Detroits work as a whole, not his own.

Honest question.

Why do y'all feel the need to shyt on every new rapper once they start buzzin? Like most rappers haven't been exaggerating in their rhymes since the creation of rap

Honest questions.

When did it become cool to not question a rappers street cred in hiphop?
I never cared about street cred... lyrics over everything. I love his music but he's still a clown. I forgive him though
