This doesnt really benefit Trump anyway....

He already has the evangelical vote locked up especially with the help of Mike Pence. So why Cruz does this now is kind of unusual to me.

Its not like someone like Caroline Kennedy endorsed Trump

Nah, he pretty much killed his chance of becoming President. No principles and weak.

Who said Cruz had any chance of becoming President? :russ: I was explaining what his logic and motivation for the endorsement probably was.

What you said + he might be the only high profile candidate who's more unlikeable than Trump or Hillary. One of the funniest parts of the primaries was finding out how much his own family hates him :heh:

Cruz with ZERO backbone. I was impressed when he originally refused to endorse.

Kasich still a real one :salute:

I hope :lupe:

Dumb move. He could've represented the segment of anti-Trump republicans and gained some credibility after Trump's defeat. Every politician worth their occupation knows Trump is going to be even more unfavorable after the debates. Essentially he left a sinking ship, was branded 'divisive' just to return 2 months later.

He would break a turnaround record, then. I remember Rachel Maddow mentioned that there's never been a presidential candidate so far behind the polls (at that point - what, about a month ago?) that went on to win the election. I suspect most of the voters involved at this point have strong political opinions, but the candidate that appeals to purple voters is going to win in the end. Trump's been trying hard in that aspect, he cleaned up quite nicely and is even trying to pander to folks left and right, but he will never be marketable enough to gain the middle vote. He's a dark horse candidate that won the nomination of his party, but America as a whole will never stand behind him. That's my take. But I do agree that something has been off with this election.
