its actually kinda suprising gameboy killed the others so bad. i mean i had a gameboy and i loved it, but really it just seems like it shouldn't have dominated like it did. it really is just very strange.
I think a lot of it had to do with market share and battery life, you can't reasonably expect someone to buy a pack of batteries every few days, and after awhile it had such a head start that no one else could gain a foothold.

I really wouldn't count the Kinect as flop though, the thing sold 80 million, and is going to be integrated into the next system.

I fukking loved the Zune, as an MP3 player it was leagues ahead of the IPod, it was just too late though.

As good technologically as the Game Gear was, it had a fairly small library and the thing ate like 6 AA batteries and it lasted for maybe an hour or two.
Say what you want about the old gameboy but parents are gonna buy something that is 1/2 the price, and only needs 4 AA batteries that lasted you nearly a month. Plus, that Legend of Zelda game sort of crushed the buildings as well. Actually that little spinach green screen had a very good library of games.

I know comcast just recently added(or I'm just noticing) a few 3D channels plus alot more sports are starting to broadcast in 3D plus video games too
I'm not a fan personally cause I got a headache trying to watch a NBA game but the other people in my house use it and like it
I wouldn't even call 3DTVs a failure,it just hasn't hit it's stride it
It's kinda like the early days of HDTV when you only had a few shows,channels,or sporting events to choose from
I remember I got a HDTV when they first came out and comcast only had like 3 or 4 HD channels and mist of the stuff that came on was in SD or upcoverted to 480p
Just wait til a few years from now when they have more 3D channels and tv shows,cartoons, etc are being broadcasted in 3D

I just downloaded a 3D movie to watch on my Vizio
I have a bunch of 3D games too, playing Gears in 3D is dope, I wish Redbox would have 3D rentals, I don't want to buy a crap movie just to watch it in 3D

That beeping from the vmu s when they ran out of batteries was unbearable
How dope was the vmu though? There was a game you could play that came from soul calibur.
Also, can we talk about NBA/NFL 2K on dial-up?? shyt wasn't even that bad.
