Westbrook would have to make jumpers or good passes. the lane would be cutoff to him by the bigs and the wings. stockton would eat up his lazy passing and his poor shot selection combined with the fact that the 2012 team wouldn't get any rebounds would cost them the game.

Just like you said. the 2012 team would have to live or die by the three. They ain't getting any signitficant numbers anywhere else against the dream team. If they do like they did against nigeria and hit 1000 3s in one game then they'll win easily, but Mj and pippen are great perimeter defenders so it's more likely that the 2012team has alot of empty posessions because like i said. they arent getting any rebounds.

It's not about who the '92 team played, it's about how the '92 team would match up against this current Olympic team. The matchups simply favor the '92 team. This current team is perimeter oriented and relatively weak inside. The '92 team was a lot more complete and well rounded. Not only did they have the clear advantage inside, they arguably had the advantage in the perimeter too.

This current team may be deeper in talent on the perimeter overall, but you can only play 5 guys at a time. Give me Magic, prime Mike, Pippen, and Drexler and I'll be able to matchup with any combination of perimeter players from this current team.
