i pre-ordered my 5 through vzw. supposed to ship on friday. i had the same blackberry for a few years and was waiting for this release to make the switch. did i

Well what are some of your concerns and features you want.
device size- was probably my #1 concern. i just want it to fit in my pocket without looking like i'm smuggling a bible. the 4s seems like a good size (my wife has it) but i'm not sure if the 5 is gonna seem to long now for that. they just had a guy from cnet on cnbc reviewing the 5 saying it's still a "pocketable" phone so maybe i'm good there.
typing- #2 concern. coming from a blackberry am i fukked trying to type on a touch screen? i hate typing on my ipad but that's just an awkward sized device. everyone i know who has switched from a bbry to an iphone says it only takes a few weeks to get used to.
battery life- #3 concern. i heard complaints from people who switched to the 4s about the battery. a few people even started using those cases that have the extra battery attached to them, which only makes the case bigger and brings me back to my #1 concern.
aside from that not much concerns me (especially on the tech front). i don't do anything too crazy w my phone aside from personal email, texts here and there and a very occasional phone call. just seems like a lot of you who are better educated about these devices rep pretty hard for one versus the other.

From BB to IPhone you are in for a major system shock. BB is a goot 8 years behind IMO. I use one for work sometimes (test phone) and cant believe some people remained loay to that crap.
iPhone is awesome but Android is right there with it and in some cases even better. I'm not gonna be reppin sh!t hard because in the end it's still just a damn phone but the apps on both platforms make your life so much easier

I don't know if Memphis people aren't booming for the iPhone or what but it don't seem as difficult as people are making it out to be. All I had to do was put 50 down on each phone at the Sprint store and I'm guaranteed to have two phones Friday morning.

I have the newest BB bold for work as well. and that shyt is cool, but there's no comparision. the BB I have now, should have been what they dropped years ago. and I was loyal to BB for years as well. I had 3 in a row for personal use prior to jumping to 4S.
