even when sza was first announced on tde, when everybody was on tde dikk and tde was actually doing the most, she didn't do numbers. ice.moon barely has 100k views to this day lol. nor did lance skiiiwalker, etc. the expectation for random rookie videos to do numbers is lazy and flawed af :huhldup:

yea, isaiah is a damn rapper who debuted during the TDE heyday and didn't even blow up despite dropping an amazing project in cilvia demo...it's too early to call anything with her, but she's talented and seems like female artists are working together a lot more these days, so the right features should help start getting her name out there

SZA's first TDE song/video was Teen Spirit, which did pretty good at the time. I'm not this new chick needs to come out the gate doing crazy numbers. I'm just saying...look at that video. The intention was very clear on what they thought it would do...and it didn't do it. That's a major record label video, well shot/done. She's somehow got Doja Cat shouting her out (wink wink). And it hasn't worked.

The weird thing is that it's been an open secret she was signing to TDE for two years yet they decided to wait until now. Which kinda goes back to the entire point about fukking up momentum by not releasing anything. Now you're forced to introduce her a few weeks before Kendrick drops, SZA coming, etc. By the time Doechii's project comes out it'll come and go, lost in the mix. Maybe they're planning on having SZA take her on tour. That would be smart...
