If it comes out in 2024 though, that's the same time frame it took for Xbox to release the One X(4 years) which isn't too bad if the gen is pretty long. We might not get a PS5 till 2027 so 2024 Pro model isn't too soon imo.

99.9% of games can’t even put out actual 4k at 60fps properly without having to upscale or drop the frame rate, doubt their gonna be puttin out 8k resolution anytime soon with 120fps.

8k 120fps with hdr and all the other BS being played native is at least a decade out. Let alone trying to fit a game like that on a disk.

TCL wouldn’t be privy to that type of information from Microsoft or Sony. They are only guessing (based on the past PS4/Xbox One generation) hence the 2023/2024 timeframe. They are just estimating so they can justify their roadmap and sell product.

If a mid-gen upgrade is going to happen(and it probably will) it will be during the latter part of that timeframe.

Having said that, Im part of the camp that doesnt care so much about a mid-gen upgrade. Games take so long to make these days that we will only start seeing titles that take advantage of the advanced feature set of DX12 Ultimate and PS5 in 2023 so Im not too interested in a PS5 Pro or Xbox Series X+. Im much more interested in a PS5 Slim (with a disc drive)
You think television makers and gaming companies don't coordinate with each other when their products go hand in hand
