It's free money if Eubank can make weight w/o completely draining himself. Can't see another way Benn wins than that cause Eubank for all his technical shortcomings always had a stellar chin, big punching 168ers couldn't put a dent in it, no way that a 147er has any business hurting him then.
Stylistically isn't bad for Eubank either, he struggles with fighters who can fight at range too and have a good jab, Benn will be right in his kitchen.
Eubank should stop him in the first half of the fight, really... don't see why this would be harder for him than the Yildirim fight if he can make weight alright
This is true.

Eubank can be called for a lot of things, one thing he cannot be called is glass jawed. He eats shots at any weight i've seen. Benn can bang no doubt, but banging at 147 v 160/168 is fighting relativity/weight/power/velocity etc. Stranger things have happened though.

Eubank should make weight easyish. He'd have to be considered one of the most on point pro boxers of the last decade as far as strength conditioning, diet, staying in shape goes. Always exceptionally well prepared for his fights physically. His boxing prowess has always been the achilles.

Benn definitely showed something against boxers who drop hands/bad technique when on the back foot last fight. Has a deceptive reach with his back hand, compared to what would appear to be his reach for back hand for his body size.

Anticipation and hype are the same thing and beating a 147er won't add anything to his legacy, lol
I like Eubank but clearly he took this for only the money, he might have given up on getting a world title
Agree. But Eubank isn't getting a look anywhere.

His best chance in the USA market was a Charlo fight, which never seemed to materialise during his 2 years in USA under PBC? (He was PBC right?)

He didn't want it with Golovkin. Understandable, not many do.

His poor showing against korobov was the reason...man lost every second of that fight until korobov unluckily tore his shoulder out

Oh yeah, i vaguely remember this. Southpaw? First fight under Roy. It's been lost to me during the haze of the COVID-19 lockdowns/era.

Not enough that they want to sell every second movie today with nostalgia now fights too :mjlol:
I get it, I get it but it starts to look silly and it's just the beginning
That's a great observation.

Pre-established fan bases/audiences are a pre marketed sale from the jump.

The last decade has seen Hollywood understand the balance between risk / reward better than ever before. Hollywood productions by % make more money than flops on a risk by risk basis. More than any time in film history.

It's much like an I.D. check for a loan approval etc.

Bankable franchise..tick .
Established fan base...tick
Bankable Director or A list star (s)...tick

Nail enough credit points and they green light productions. Don't have enough? Bad luck.

Now boxing following suit it seems.:snoop:
