If something ever happens to Taylor, there will be mass suicides from teenage girls all across the country. It's like they have no lives, so they live through this girl. I know that's kind of a dark and bleak statement, but I really think it's true.

It's kind of true. I vividly remember that award show. I was going to watch the Michael Jackson tribute and luckily it was the first thing on the show that night. After it was over, they presented the first award, so I figured, "I'll watch and then turn to something else when it goes to commercial." She won. I didn't know who this artist was who just beat the heavily favored Beyonce, but she seemed like a humble nice girl. Then Kanye got up on stage, and the name Taylor Swift was forever ingrained in my mind after that. She was well known, but after that incident, even my grandma knew who she was.She was getting an MTV award
