I wish people would stop posting that pic. That is NOT Taylor Rooks. She and I have some distant mutual friends and I saw her when she was still in HS. She’s looked then like she does now but less polished, like most young girls.

The real topic of conversation is the burgeoning journalist/ig model crossover career we’ve been seeing from ladies in the profession. At what point does it devalue the women hired for these positions? Will hiring managers either aggressively hire beautiful women they think can garner a huge following; or will they begin heavily policing their public persona to protect the integrity of real journalism.

Great points. I mentioned on here the cat was let out the bag once Fox got the NFL back in the 90s. During one segment they had a pretty white lady (can't think of her name) who was a model at the time. She was tone and in shape. They would have her wearing a skimpy top and tight jeans with the clear shoes that strippers wore back in the day. She would wear all that shyt while doing the weather...yes the weather (and this damn near 30 years before weather bea and her skin tight clothes).

I knew even as a kid that it was gonna change forever how women would do sports.

Before it was a pretty face could help, but you had to know sports. Now with the ignorant hot takes and dumb ass media/networks pushing fake stories and talking points from producers. There is basically no need for a women (or men) to even know sports. Just put a pretty woman out there on the screen with a tight out fight on with some tities, ass or skin showing and thats all thats needed.

Also my thing is that its really a slap in the face for avg and unattractive women. I mean the fat or avg or unattractive dudes get to be on tv and talk sports. Yet the women got to be good looking.

At least back in the day most women in sports you knew they made it off of merit and looks. Or just merit because they didn't have looks.

Now IMO many of women (non athletes) got on because of 90% looks and 10% merit.
