Hollywood keeps trying to make this dude happen, but its just not happening.

I don't care who they put in it. There's no way to remake The Raid movies. They're dope precisely because they aren't typical American action flicks.

Even suppose they could do a decent job...how many American actors are willing to actually take the bumps and hard blows. With the Raid movies you can obviously see the actors are getting hit and doing very physical stunt work. I don't know of any Hollywood stars (or their agents) that would be down to take the punishment involved that would make it actually cool.

I thought Frank Grillo was going to be the lead in the remake of the Raid.
I would have gone to see that just because I like Grillo as an actor and he has shown he is decent in action movies.

He tricked me playing Riggins in FNL b/c I thought the role called for that loner, quiet, stoic character but this cat plays the exact character in every movie. He's a male January Jones.
