I remember this dude but didn't follow u with what happened . So he got jumped and ended up pulling out and killing someone ?
Basically. He was backstage at a concert featuring T.I. I believe Troy was supposed to perform as well, which is why he came backstage.

They saw each other, Troy and his bodyguard/goon approached Tax and put hands on him. Tax pulled out a gun and started shooting (HUGE mistake, it’s NY, there are a lot of innocent bystanders in the building, cameras, etc.).

Tax loses the gun in the scuffle after shooting the bodyguard and runs away, Troy picks up the gun and starts shooting at Tax from behind even though there are innocent bystanders close by.

Very messy situation. And all of this started over some internet trolling, not “street shyt” :snoop:

Houston, by way of Pittsburgh.
Everybody be saying this.
What does he bring different.
He ain't really funny and he's really a nobody in the big picture

Tax is definitely one of the pioneers of Hip Hop podcasting. He would be up there with Math Hoffa, Drink Champs, Budden podcast, ect.

I mean, I don't fukk with any of them nikkas and agree that there's nothing special about any of them. But I do recognize Tax as being one of the first ones to start that shyt.

Tax aint a podcast pioneer ...he may 3rd wave.

Its people that been uploading since youtube first became a thing around 2005... highly likely before that too

And the reckless hood cat whos only selling point is being who rappers claim to be and clearly never had much of anything and dont cost much lane is covered. Thats what vlad tv street tv no jumper is etc is for. There's only so many endorsement deals to go around and his ilk aint gettin em

Exactly, giving me a head start at a track meet just means ill be in the lead for 1 to 2 seconds before the gun goes off:mjlol:

I dont see how he wouldve lasted once people who were good at podcasting decided to do it. He made it in at a time where street nikkas were too ashamed to podcast,so he had an advantage.

Troy Ave started a podcast and was instantly better at it on his first day:mjlol:

All those people are known individuals.

Was tax a rapper or something... I have no clue what he does.

One of them ones that you had to be there to understand

Oh ok.
It feels like tax was just a regular hood nikka. Type of nikka that would be beefing with a nikka on troy aves level.

And just like Everytime a nikka dies or goes to jail, nikkaz be like "he was the best. He was gonna be next up" etc etc

He basically had the hood version of the Joe budden podcast

It was niche at the time

You not giving Joe nearly enough credit as a personality:mjlol:

If you just mean the format of covering hiphop and hot topics, thats easily recreatable. But Taxstone is no Budden as a conversationalist from what I saw of him. Nor did he have the different levels Joe has to discuss many topics.

Barber could be a dude in the know

That's not unbelievable

Why is that the most unbelievable part of the story to you ?
Yeah after the barber told him they put money on his head he then dap him up. And then start trolling him. The super gangsta went from finding out dude out money on his head to dapping and trolling.

Yeah yall lil nikkas don’t know no better.

And I'm not a lil nikka

You talking about the quality of the shows... We are talking about the actual popularity of Tax's pods in live action time IN OUR CULTURE... Hell, Budden was on his podcast in one of the biggest moments.. He was having private hourssss long meeting with Hov about his future. He was going places

Save it for the judge/appeal champ. You think someone who is a hardheaded, stubborn internet-baby who registers a narrative like it’s a fact is gonna somehow say “Wow, I was wrong…Tax wasn’t the aggressor, he was defending himself!!”? Of course not, ain’t happening. He should be spending 15-18 hours out of his days figuring out how to explain that in great detail to the Appellate…

I believe him 1000%, I ain’t even mad at Troy for lying and putting it all on him, nigs ain’t tryna be incarcerated, specially not when they can put it all on the enemy who the blick got traced too, etc…, 🤷🏽‍♂️. That’s moot tho, Tax is telling the truth imho and he needs to be able to convey that to them people, not little clown nigs on the net.

How can Joe be a pioneer and not Tax when their shows debuted a month apart?

Joe started 2/18/15 and Tax 3/18/15. Combat Jack and Charlemagne were out the gate first but Tax was the first street dude to make noise in podcasting so yes he pioneered that lane Nore, Gillie, etc now occupy. Drink Champs started a year after Tax Season.

If you weren't around at the time you wouldn't know but Tax Season was pretty big. He was well on his way to being a big time personality but he's a career criminal so he was going to crash out eventually. Same thing with his boy Casanova. They're too street for their own good.
