I love how these cats in the hood changed up the definition or rat/snitching to basically intimidate anyone that gives up information to the police. Irregardless of the fact if I'm just a regular dude or not. Ratting/Snitching was originally if two people are criminals putting in work and one or both of us get caught, one or both give up info on our partner/group to lessen charges against each or escape jail time. Now its a blanket term to encompass ANYONE giving information to the cops or just mention details about a criminal or regular incident in general, regardless if you had nothing to do with it or not.
