I've noticed this. KTL OG free marketeers @Meta Reign and @Princepality of Zeon have said some of the most hateful things I've ever read here about homosexuals in the past. Ron Paul stan supreme @Hiphoplives4eva makes half of his posts in HL condemning men having sex with each other.

Libertarian icon Grand Exalted Cyclops :sadpaul: is against gay marriage and his infamous newsletters written by Lew Rockwell or whoever who he co-signed read like Mowgli's posts. Ayn Rand (I know she didn't call herself a libertarian, but her philosophy complements and informs it) absolutely hated homosexuality.

I know there are plenty of libertarians who support gay rights, but I also think that if there was a way to take a poll of people who call themselves libertarians, most of them would be against gay rights, and most of them pretty anti-gay in general.

What's up with that? Gays and libertarians/free marketeers should make natural bedfellows (no pun intended). Libertarians favor individual freedom to do whatever one desires as long as they're not harming anyone else. And they are supposed to be strict constitutionalists. I would think that laws like Prop 8 in California violate the Due Process and Equal Protection Clauses of the 14th amendment.

Personal emotion aside, what are libertarians and free marketeers' philosophical cases a.) for condemnation of homosexuality from a standpoint of ethical judgment, b.) against gay marriage from a legal standpoint?
