Well, let's get this first point out of the way... I love my black people. I feel connected to my black people & my career is dedicated to improving the progress of my black people in an attempt to counter the continuing damage of institutional racism. So, when I see a "social influencer" who has built up the clout to be considered a speaker of the black mind...I'm very sensitive to dumb shyt that they perpetrate.
Secondly, one of my intellectual loves...debate & discourse. I'm well aware that there are certain methods to proper dialogue. If you're going to be willing to dialogue about issues, you need to be willing to accept that you might be wrong & willing to show a certain type of respect to who you dialogue w/ otherwise what is the reason for the dialogue except to troll?
I've seen this breh:
Constantly respond to critiques by callers to his shows in some of the most backwards & bizarre elementary cafeteria ways. As learned as the breh presents himself as, responding to confusion or counter arguments w/ calling people c00ns, dusty nikkas, uncle toms and wenches is some grade A fukk boy shyt. This happens on his social media responses as well.
Along w/ the above point, the breh seems to save his most vehement & disrespectful responses for fellow black people in contrast to the bizarre level of respect he shows to the ignorant white supremacist or troll network news panelists he finds himself debating against. e.g. Tucker Carson.
He's on record being confronted w/ his previous works, such as his Art of Macking, and instead of standing behind what he previously wanted to be viewed as serious, he has literally claimed that his past viewpoints on women & courting as being "just satire".
Now, considering the breh throws around the insults of wenches and bucks, he, himself, has been on some shyt he'd call bucking & c00ning and has said "hell yea I'd fukk & date a white girl. I'd raise the european flag in the bedroom". If that isn't some weird backwards shyt, breh...
I can keep going but expending the energy to continue before I know if anyone is genuinely interested in my reasons for not fukking w/ the breh & being vocal about it or if this was an attempt to just troll my reply no matter what.
I've also observed the breh give opinion disguised as fact without properly sourcing where he's getting the info from. e.g. Tariq's theory on HIV epidemic in Atlanta. I've had conversations where people legit source this breh as a real powerhouse intellectual and the reality that he's considered a positive influence in black discourse is disturbing to me.
