It's donation money and his own money and he set up the platform to even make it so funds can be distributed. What non famous/non athlete/non entertainer is doing that and putting his ass on the line by saying fukk systematic white supremacy? Who? Celebs won't don't because they get their money from massa.

The point is that aside form his business dealings, Tariq is funneling money to people that no one else would otherwise wanna give a dime to, and I salute that. If the money isn't being generated and donated from the destruction of black people then I'm cool with it being collected then distributed to those who need it.

Dude, he is more than likely paying the people he is putting in the film. You have to pay for editing, the use of images, you got travel cost, etc. The quality of his films are top notched. Second if he is asking for money to do is how is that a big deal when he is putting out a valuable project. How many came up with this and did at before him? Plus, a lot of those donations guaranteed a copy of the movie. Plus, you complain about the donations, look at the free content this dude provides every week for listeners. Like @ThreeLetterAgency says repeatedly "Hidden Colors helped save black bookstores". I donated to Hidden Colors because if it helps to reach blacks and give us a sense of pride I'm all for it.

And frankly not with the mainstream appeal.
