This is our land, how does that sound like a white supremacist talking point?

You saying that America ain't our land even though we've been here for 400+ years, and built it?

:patrice:
Thats what im saying, and there were black folks handling cacs, we just didn't hear about it. Explains why texts books taught us false information

I know that Tariq will not take an L on his own platform. You can’t win! His cult followers will back him no matter what. They are similar to Trump supporters, so I don’t understand why people call his show when he gots in IG live.

Just to let you know, I don’t have an issue with Tariq because his intentions regarding Black people is sincere and genuine. However, I don’t necessarily agree with some of his opinions and when he debated the PR broad, he came off as being anti-Caribbean. Not say he is against them, but I can’t rock with minimizing the impact colorism has impacted the FBA community throughout the centuries in this country. It is just as deeply ingrained within the FBA community as it is in the Caribbean and Latin America.

colorism is rampant throughout the diaspora. But it hit latin America and the caribbean harder than it did ADOS

It is in no way as deeply ingrained, as you put it

You have any empirical data to support it? As far as I can concerned, we will have to agree to disagree. I refuse to believe that FBAs have been "woke" since slavery! That is absolute bullshyt!!

BTW, I would be considered FBA..

Damn.

I usually ignore TN, but he got her @ 65.

He said we fight , they flee when it comes to fighting for Black rights....

If you look at this Puerto Rican’s other videos it’s mostly on what rapper likes exotic women type stuff. But she gets mad black peoples address racism. These groups act as buffers and come around black people to drain us.

its not about empirical data. Not even sure how you would go about that anyway

Its more imbedded in the culture

There are buffer classes in those countries. Attempts were made within fba culture, but ultimately failed

Ados grew and cultivated culture in the belly of the beast as far as modern day white supremacy, yet have done so much to promote the idea and concept of "blackness" to the point a lot of countries aspired to its influence.

Alot of these countries are predominately black or brown but still skin bleach and white worship

The ados concept of "black" and what constitutes the "black" color spectrum has been emulated throughout the diaspora. Which is why I find the policing of how we deal with It laughable

How these other countries handled it allotted for far more c00ning than we ever had in our culture

And what do you mean "considered fba" ?

I hear ya...

My family was rooted here, in the USA. Therefore, I would be considered a Foundational Black American.

I am not staying that other counties within the diaspora doesn't have a colorism issue, but I do not believe the gap is wide between the US, Caribbean and South America.

You got people who either embrace and love their Blackness, is indifferent about their Blackness or deny, loathe or despise their Blackness.

I accept your point of view, but not fully convinced. I do appreciate the feedback.

the fact he didn’t even admit his forefathers were African slaves shows just how much he was willing not to be giving an L by this broad ..... yeah he’s starting to come across very anti -Caribbean /African some times ....

:what::rudy:look how Far tethers go.

Wtf does was rooted here mean? Was your family enslaved here in the 1800s? Yes or no.

To answer your question..

Yes. My ancestors on both sides were enslaved in the US. Mom side Mississippi and dad side Virginia. Speaking of my dad side, my family tree may go far as back as the 1700s. Gotta cousin who did some research. May hit her up one day. Also, speaking of your query, could have ancestors that were native to this land before slavery.
