If we really broke down what people supported and backed, both would look extremely similar

These contrarians probably associate "wokeness" with 4th wave feminists and the LGBTQ community on some "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" type steez when it generally applies to Black people and working class Americans demanding more from the country.

The GOP sees Black people protesting against police brutality as "woke", people protesting for higher wages as "woke", people speaking out against mass shootings as "woke", people demanding better health care as "woke", people demanding better transit as "woke", affirmative action as "woke", Black people wanting tangibles/reparations as "woke", Black people speaking out against voter suppression as "woke", people wanting Black history to not be erased in schools as "woke", calling out racism as "woke", etc.

These contrarians probably think that the GOP is only going to attack radical feminists or trans people in their anti-Woke crusade when, in reality, Black people are going to be the main casualty of it. Elon is already stoking up the flames on Twitter where blatantly anti-Black tweets are going viral with his help. And Trump legit just said that he wants to get rid of affirmative action for minorities and replace it with AA for White people. It even was posted on this forum.

But hey....If TLR is reflective of Black apathy in voting irl, then they'll eventually get their wish and have either Trump or DeSantis in the office and they won't have to complain about Biden being the worst President of all time anymore.

Who is ignoring? I can easily be critical of the democratic party but still acknowledge that they are different from the Republican party. Only thing the "both parties are the same" talk accomplishes is to help discourage more people from getting politically involved.
