I will just add that all these conspiracy theories are very popular with right wing Islamists and sympathizers of jihadis in Pakistan - from 9/11, Jewish bankers, Federal Reserve, "False flags" to Malala being a CIA agent etc.

A friend of mine who stayed in Israel and Palestine told me a lot of Palestinians believe those same things, too (and he's a heavy Palestinian sympathizer.) I can see why they would, but it makes for strange bedfellows.

Why cant i just be a regular dude who doesnt believe everything i hear:manny:

Why instead of calling me "crazy" or a "conspiracy theorist" because i dont believe/understand the reported story....do u not try to explain it in a clearer way...

Why is it far fetched to believe that a government who has lied before...would ever lie again??

Why was one of the suspects in full "do dirt" mode (sunglasseses/frontward hat) while his partner had no glasses on with a backwards hat?? Yous aint bout to do the same crime????

When a news report comes out and the readers have more questions than when it started it...that is the news' fault not the readers:dry:

In the Silver Lining
http://www.nytimes.com/2013/04/24/us/unraveling-brothers-online-lives-link-by-link.html?hp&_r=0

There are lots of references to musicians like Chris Brown, Jay-Z and Michael Jackson; television shows like “Breaking Bad” and “Game of Thrones,” and movies like “Spider-Man” and “Finding Nemo.” He prattles away about Nutella and Frosted Flakes, complains about typos and losing his remote. “Pop-up adds are the worst, on par with mosquitoes,” he tweets on June 17, 2012.

Given the layers of irony, sarcasm and joking often employed on Twitter, it can be difficult to parse the messages of a stranger. Yet some of them can seem menacing or portentous, given what we now suspect: “a decade in america already, I want out,” “Never underestimate the rebel with a cause” or, drawing from lyrics from a Kendrick Lamar song, “No one is really violent until they’re with the homies.” But others suggest a more Holden Caulfield-like adolescent alienation: “some people are just misunderstood by the world thus the increase of suicide rates.” Sometimes, Dzhokhar sounds downright sentimental (unless, of course, he is being ironic): “There are enough worms for all the birds stop killing each other for ‘em.”

^^^NyTimes is also saying he liked the TV shows Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones... enjoyed Jay -Z, Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, and Michael Jackson music ... plus the movie "Finding Neemo" ......and was a Frosting Flakes and Nutella fanatic....

I guess weak minded folks might go out and do something horrendous and heinous after listening to the one of these artist or watching one of these TV shows.......... or eating a certain brand of cereal

....isn't that the point of this thread???....

sadly hilarious...

its weird to me how the "anti conspiracy theorist" movement seems to always say the same thing, "I dont trust *random alternative new source* because they have reported something that isn't true." yet if you used the same standards to judge mainstream media there isn't one source you would be able to trust. CNN FOX MSNBC all the newspapers and everything else frequently report information as news that is not fact checked or is just plain incorrect, yet you dont seem to have nearly the same sort of issue with these mainstream sources.

You can't be serious? :usure::aicmon:

Kay: "But the government doesn't kill people" :dwillhuh:

Michael: "Now whose being naive" :stopitslime:

Dont quote me with this extraneous assumption shyt.

I made my point clearly and concisely and nowhere did I say or imply any of that bullshyt you just typed.

If you think the government or any other clandestine agency is infringing on your rights, join a group or support legit groups that are out here in the struggle. Glenn Beck and Alex Jones are using your naivete to sell guns & survival seeds & steel your gold. They're making money off of this ignorance, whether they believe in it or not.

These newspapers and media outlets maintain the little bit of credibility they have by issuing retractions and corrections. They do it all the time. Not the same with the conspiracy demagogues.

Many people are afraid of the government so they think freely in their mind but openly side with whatever their told by the establishment to not raise suspicions about their character.

yeah i guess that is sort of true, but the way most corrections and retractions are made is pathetic, in tiny print in the back of the news paper or a 10 second mention of something during a 24 hour news broadcast is all the legally have to do. Im someone who is fairly skeptical when it comes to the "news" from any source because there is no telling how the information has been twisted and edited to fit someone's agenda, i feel like some people just aren't aware of this.

Theres too many questions for there to be an open an shut case.

The idea that they are smart enough to devise a plan of that magnitude but not have an escape route makes no sense....

Like really...

They were still in boston

4 days after they set off a bomb at the world's most famous race

Ive seen dudes leave town over much less:usure:

I mean dude went to class tuesday:mindblown:

What kills me about keyboard conspiracy theorists is how much they sound like old women. OMG the sky is falling. OMG that guys rights are being secretly violated. If you are so passionate about these causes there are organizations and advocacy groups out there. Arguing about it on the internet and 'just asking questions' is such a passive aggressive approach to the alleged crimes of the 'Illuminati.'
VVD what was that story about when Meta-reign came into face to face contact with some uber powerful jew and Meta shined his shoes for him and told him to have a wonderful weekend? :heh:

Don't misconstrue what I'm saying. I agree with you about how correcting information is handled. The government has been known to use reporters and news anchors to push storylines and the government lies about stuff all the time. Example: All the details of Bin Ladens death are shady to me. Doesn't mean that I'm going to run to assclowns like Alex Jones for the 'inside info.' We've got to become less reactionary. Wait for the lawyers and historians and folks who have more than a passing interest (its only entertainment!) in this stories to sort it out.
