Talk me out of buying a Hisense TV

I'm looking at the HiSense U8N and the TCL QM7. Did not want to spend much on a 3rd TV but what i'm looking for is good picture, good for gaming (Not a huge requirement but needs to be decent/good) bright picture. Unfortunately QM8 doesn't come in 55 inch.

I have a TCL in the bedroom which has been good. I don't know shyt about Hisense. Are they good quality? If I can get 5+ years I'm good. Everything by the major brands in thi sprice range is trash.

What are your recommendations?

As for budget brands TCL is definitely the more reliable brand.

But if the Hisense fits your needs then buy it

Can’t get the tcl in the size I want. They don’t make it. I prefer them but that Hisense has some great specs.

You aren’t gonna get a “great” picture. But it should be good enough for a 3rd tv for kids or something.

If it’s a tv you are gonna be using a lot, i think it’s worth the extra cash to get something better.

It’s Black Friday, unless you only got 300 dollars to spend on a tv get literally anything else.

The main tv is the family room. Got a 85 inch Sony. If it’s a main tv I have no issue spending the money and getting a good brand. But this tv won’t be used a lot.

My budget is $1k. The TVs I listed are about $800-900 CDN.

RTINGS reviews on both are great. Give me some options.

Don’t spend 1k on a 55” Hisense lol

It’s Black Friday you can find an Oled for like 100 dollars more

They aren’t bad. I have a giant LG for the main room, we finally retired our bedroom Vizio to the guest room, and got a 55” oiled hisense for the bedroom. They aren’t bad at all. I think TLC and HiSense are some of the more reliable “low tier” brands, but Vizio will always be my most beloved, top dog “shytty” TV.

Edit: I wanted to add that every Vizio I’ve owned has been cheaper than most of the other similar tier TV’s, near indestructible, and seem to last forever. The guest BR Vizio has been hard at work since like 2017-18

Let me put it like this.....I felt like Rodney Dangerfield trying to pitch the reason to cop such a brand .

• Nothing stands out compared to TCL and other brands
• The build quality is semi garbage
• For the price tag, you could get a LG that's leagues better
