You realize 2K isn't pay to win right? After NBA 2K18, Take-Two's CEO Talks About Microtransaction Backlash And Future Monetization - Game Informer
Demanding a progression system that doesn't have a "pay-to-win" shortcut is NOT the same as demanding free content. Not if you paid $60 for the damn game in the first place. Ask yourself if this is the kinda fukkery you wanna support before you buy 2K this year. Don't let this become the industry standard.
This is a lie. A gang of nikkas went back to 2K17 for park.......I lowkey went back to 2k17 but the servers dont seem to be working. A damn shame
$10 for the Allen Iverson sleevenot even for Cliff Robinson?
There's a point where money trumps the general time investment. Battlefront wasn't pay to win either. Neither was Mordor, Destiny, etcYou realize 2K isn't pay to win right?
They don't maintain previous editions lolThis is a lie. A gang of nikkas went back to 2K17 for park.......
It's "Pay to cut our artificially inflated grind in half".You realize 2K isn't pay to win right?
Not maintaining and not available are too different things. The servers are up and a lot of ppl still play 2k17 fam......There's a point where money trumps the general time investment. Battlefront wasn't pay to win either. Neither was Mordor, Destiny, etc
The time it takes to make up the span of a 20 dollar purchase is what? 50 dollars? 100? How many in game hours is that? And if that content is already a part of the disc you own, why is it behind another pay wall?
And this isn't even getting into the myteam shyt. You could make an entire league of hall of fame players and set up a playoff between your friends, draft too, in 20 minutes. Now? How many packs you want to open lol
They don't maintain previous editions lol
A few system updates on and they'll get around to patching shyt as soon as people forget to care
Remember we had game day, madden, nfl fever and nfl 2k and blitz
2K11 is the greatest simulation basketball game of all timeAin’t it crazy how we propped 2k up 10 years ago because of Live, now we begging EA to save us from 2k?
That's dismissive of the fact that people do so without their product being fully supported only a year after release. Not maintaining and not available are too different things. The servers are up and a lot of ppl still play 2k17 fam......
I'm not defending anything. The microtransactions in 2K are pretty foul. I just pointed out that the servers are up in 17 and it's not a p2w game ( especially this year when it seems like skill trumps having a 90+ rated player anyway)That's dismissive of the fact that people do so without their product being fully supported only a year after release.
There are games over 5 years old getting regular updates with zero microtransactions. And it's not like yearly releases are a burden for larger studios either. Plenty of companies run off of seasonal roadmaps that line up nearly identically to the 2K/Madden development cycle. They do it across separate studios and somehow manage to make patches, updates, and properly support their products *without* having to see their inbox fill to the brim regarding their feet dragging approach to addressing conflicts with things as rudimentary as a fukking psn update.
So yes, people still play those older games. I never said otherwise. Are older games supported at even the bare minimum standards of the industry? No. And with the money they save on recycling content combined with the ad money as well as the vc cash, there's no excuse for it.
They don't give a shyt about bludgeoning consumers from every angle - and their biggest fans defend it.
This is a lie. A gang of nikkas went back to 2K17 for park.......
Or what happened to PS used to have other NBA games called "Shooutout", "In The Zone",
or Xbox Original has NBA "Inside Drive"
Imagine if we still have those new games today. We have many option to ignore 2K or Live.
