Well the good news for him is Star Wars' geek fanbase sure like to have comedy in their films.

Let it die. Another space epic/saga will come along to take its place.

I can't think of one before or after it. I'm sure I'm just drawing a blank but I can't really think of anything close to star wars. I'd love to see one tho, there's plenty of options out there.

He's not the right director. People keep forgetting this is a space western/samurai flick. It has more in common with Lord of the rings than Guardians of the Galaxy. It was never on some comedy light hearted shyt.
Nah he can do it imo I felt like he had a good feel for Star Wars in that Mandalorian episode he did.

He started out the episode with a 4 minute standup routine. Which i admit was hilarious, but i felt like it belonged on a starwars themed episode of robot chicken more than the show. My concern is that he will do that 10x in his own project.

He’s mentioned in interviews he’s had to be restrained in terms of comedy due to it being Star Wars. So even in that episode he was able to play under those parameters.

No he didn't :dead:

I just told you he literally started out the episode with a comedy bit. completely stopped the pacing of the previous episode and did jokes for 4 minutes straight.
