How is this really any better? You still come out the pocket the same if not more. If someones locked into a contract and wants an upgrade, paying out the pocket would effectively be the same damn thing.

How? If you buy your phone at full cost or you pay it off its just the plan cost. Lets use the $70 Unlimited everything plan, with the $20 EIP its only $90 per month. Which is still lower then everybody else. With another provider whether you use the subsidy or not you still pay the high ass plan.

Cell Phone Plans | Cheap Cell Phone Plans & Unlimited Data | T-Mobile

I haven't been under contract with T-Mobile since November. Been with them 6 years though. I'm going to call them tonight and see what's up with this. I haven't gotten a new phone since the Galaxy 1 (Vibrant) came out but I'm eyeing that HTC One.

"We're unleashing everything," T-Mobile CEO John Legere said during a candid, wild event in New York City. That includes not only new plans and the iPhone 5, but also one of our favorite Android phones in recent memory: the HTC One. It will be available on T-Mobile's new LTE network and available with its new rate plans, for just $99 up front. Along with the iPhone, the Galaxy S4, and the BlackBerry Z10, it brings T-Mobile an impressively competitive portfolio of LTE devices, even as it continues to roll out its LTE network.

Unfortunately, while we're glad to see the One confirmed and announced, it looks like HTC's supplier woes continue — there's no word on when the device will actually be available.

I took this from a comment section.

ATT:
-Galaxy S3 $200
-Unlimited talk $70 (NO UNLIMITED TEXT)
-"Messaging Unlimited" plan $20
-3GB data $30 or 5GB data $50

So total cost is either:
3GB $70+20+30=$120, $120x24months=$2,880+200=$3,080
OR
5GB$70+20+50, $140x24months=$3,360+200=$3,560

TMOBILE:
-Galaxy S3 $550
2GB $50 (with unlimited talk, text web)+10=$60x24=$1,440+550=$1,990
OR
"Unlimited" $50+20=$70x24=$1,680+550=$2,230

The main difference is that on other carriers once your 24 month contract passes, and you effectively paid off the phone that is subsidized, you still continue paying the same rate.

T-Mobile has officially launched its 4G LTE network today with service in Baltimore, Houston, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Jose, and Washington DC. The carrier expects to deliver LTE to 100 million people by the middle of 2013 doubling that to 200 million customers nationwide by year's end. Customers will be able to use the new faster service with the carrier's new rate plans, which initially went live this past weekend.

dream phone for the fall - nexus 5, unlocked, 300-350, LTE :noah:
T-Mobile is going to be eating real good if google and LG cook up that Nexus 5 to be compatible with their LTE network.

Google should probably sell the Nexus 5 with a choice of AT&T sim card or T-Mobile sim card at time of purchase. I never understood why they never did that...its not like sim cards expire...

:dwillhuh:

ATT raping they customers, thats ridiculous. I can see that off contract price looking nice tho. Cant say if two years of paying back the phone is worth it, hardly anybody keeps the same phone for two years or more

Them Lo Lifes...
This "no contract" plan is a way for them to get full purchase price for their phone. Period.

4 Days before this plan being introduced I went to t-mo webiste to see about a phone and whatnot..

They had the S3's for $99 and Note 2 for $149 with new contract, yet this banner for other deals expired on March 23rd..:leon:

didnt think nothing of it.

2 days after that, went back to the site to check on deals, they removed the phone ad, straight to the sales page...

I didnt realize this until I called t mo and asked bout the deal and they transferred me to the web site dept of the company...didnt feel like waiting so I hung up.

So NOW I go back this past sunday and see the b.s. swap they pulled with the last minute campaign, no more web discounts, online rebates..FULL PRICE BABEE!!:pachaha:

Fukk that shut! :shaq2:

I was bout to cop that note 2 for $149 re-new my contract, retain my classic and keep it moving! :shaq:

T Mo went gangsta, now its fukk YOU pay ME in FULL for a phone....
