So where does it say that Kobe was there with with him? Plus it says that he was in Germany in 2003, Kobe would've been 24-25 then not 20. Someone is lying and it doesn't seem to be Mcgrady.
Why dont you win a 5 on 5 against the heat
There are more players involved.
Mcgrady is quoted as saying more than "I never went to Germany with him". He is also quoted as saying "Hell no! That's far from the truth. No one in the NBA is playing 1on1." in reference to what Kobe said. It doesn't really sound like a case of mixed up dates, somebody is lying. You seem to assume that Mcgrady is lying while giving Kobe some kind of benefit of the doubt, but I'm seeing it the opposite.Yea it doesn't say anything about Kobe being there...but "Germany", "1998" and "Adidas camp" are all mentioned. So from the sounds of things, it sounds like Kobe is just mixing up dates/location etc. And I do remember that magazine article back in the day. Antoine Walker was there too if I remember correctly. Unfortunately I don't have that magazine now. Someone that has it should post it up.
Remember T-mac never says "I never played Kobe", or "I never lost to Kobe"....All he says is "I never went to Germany with him". And T-mac also deleted his tweet. Dude sounds fishy.....

I'm going off the basis of remembering the magazine (and others here have mentioned they have seen where T-Mac mentioned it) and what Kobe says and what T-macs response is.
Why would Kobe give a detailed description of something that never happened? It just doesn't sound like he would make something up so detailed in terms of who he played, when it happened, where, what type of camp etc... which pretty much sounds close enough when you add it all up. If I had to believe one of these guys stories, it would be Kobe's.
Athletes lie all the time. I've talked to guys that have played pro sports and they'll say stuff that is straight for no apparent reason.
