SZA is her own thing. Why do we have to have an equivalent of an artist from a previous generation? It would've been crazy to compare a 1997 Mary J. Blige to Aretha Franklin and say she should be mentioned on the same tier as Tina Turner.

SZA is a huge artist in her own right, but she isn't in the tier of Rihanna or Beyonce. She doesn't need or have to be.

I can only understand little pieces of her songs and actually have to google the lyrics when she sings a song

I thought it was just me. She has a nice voice and a great ear for beats, damn near better than Fat Joe.

And it's not like she's mumbling. I just don't know what she be saying. :heh:

She's passed Rihanna already music wise. If they both dropped a brand new song tomorrow I think hers would do better. Ri Ri is like multifaceted with the makeup and clothing lines. Her music is now like secondary to that.
And yeah, it's been 2 albums you comparing to people who been in the game for a decade +.
