until a a secular, leftist movement gains momentum across the Arab world, the region will never see peace and prosperity.

unfortunately, the Arab Left is still in its infancy.

nobody deserves to die for just words :manny:

and thats not a pic of our prophet breh, its some shia Zoroastrian god

my problem is that people will continue to die, so that you can have the luxury of believing in a mythological father figure

yep :jawalrus:

whats the matter bruh? u can go outta ur way to neg me when i insult that disgusting religion, but you cant defend it when a kid gets killed directly because of it?

Only reason why I negged you was cause you kept dissing me about my preference in faith. I been Muslim for about 2 years now, only a couple ahkis knew but when the anti religious faction finds out you gotta include me in your debates like Im an regular in HL or ever came at you out of the blue to attack you about your opinion.

As I said before Idgaf about you think of Islam.

As for your question I think its stupid for a bunch of reasons, mainly cause them fools didnt take into the factor that its un-islamic to treat one person better than the other. If Prophet was to come back to earth, Im pretty sure he would have wanted to pay any way. We don't show favoritism in Islam.

Now im pretty sure you gonna bring up other stuff now about those who was killed back then for speaking ill of the prophet right? :heh:

Well debate with someone else. green rep btw and peace be upon you sir :salute:

well the baath turned out to be an absolute disaster, the arab nationalist socialist camp died with nasser, and there is absolutely nothing on the horizon that can even remotely become anything that can gain mainstream support

But hopefully not as a result of. That is contrary to my principles :upsetfavre:

well, those principles are no use to this dead kid

ima be honest, i try not to bash other people's beliefs, and especially not if they keep them to themselves. but when you read a story like this, its hard to justify peaceful muslim's right to believe in such an intangible set of rules.

i mean can we at least admit that you COULD be wrong? youre just talking to the sky? while on the other hand, there are no uncertainties about this brutal murder. thats where im comin from

Breh, there's now way I can know 100% for sure. I think this is an integral part of religion. Faith. I think we as a people grossly understate how strong illiteracy and ignorance in these places. If it wasn't Islam it would be X or Y. Religion in my view will not stem or exacerbate a pre-existing savagery. I feel bad for this kid, but how many people died in Brownsville this weekend? These things are all related to ignorance.

the Ba'ath was never a grassroots people's movement that sought to mobilize the proletariat for revolution, they were clandestine bourgeoisie that achieved power through the military and in Iraq's case, with the aid of the CIA. when Salah Jadid tried to implement authentic socialist reforms, he got thrown in the bushes with the quickness. :dead:

the communist party was popular throughout the region, particularly in Iraq and Sudan.

people didn't see the Arab "spring" on the horizon either.
