I don’t know how folks aren’t seeing this. That performance was symbolic and the messages were strong and quite timely given Trump’s election and the direction this nation is heading in.

Kendrick was basically telling US to get ready because shyt is about to get real hot in this country and we have to fight back :

This was a call for revolution:

Even a beloved PAWG had to break it down for everyone

Kendrick did what needed to be done, with Trump in the audience to boot.

You're right but some of these niqqas ITT are too dumb to get it.:dead:

Fans are retarded they don’t want to get educated about anything in the music. Like the first post in here said, they want to pop ass to some bops instead. You’re gonna hear fans say it’s too “liberal” or some other MAGA gay shyt they be spewing.
Like I said. U think nikkas would’ve called MJ performing They Don’t Really Care About Us boring? U think Pac performing Changes would’ve been boring? Again it’s not what u do it’s HOW u do it.

They probably would because this is the ADHD era, most wanna be entertained and don’t care about politics or any other thing that might be considered “boring”.

Thank you. Would you okay to pay xxx amount of dollars for a concert performance & you wasn’t entertained. Yall think he's going to have all these hidden messages during his studio tour or his going to try & put on a great show as an entertainer.

He could've saved the symbolism for his music videos.
It’s fine that he tried to be deep. He’s an artist first and foremost. His job is to evoke emotion. The problem is the performance aspect was sacrificed for the art aspect.

Bro those are smash hits that everyone knows and love. It would absolutely be lit. Kendrick could’ve done the same thing. He chose NOT to perform his most important and popular black record. “Alright”

Didn’t he perform it in the last Super Bowl with Dre? Maybe he’s not on that timeline now. He wants to change the trajectory of where the music is going.

Belongs in the Louvre.

Called out the US, taunted the Cheeto in Chief, stepped on Drake's neck.

A Black Uncle Sam (and Samuel L. Jackson!!!!) telling America what to do was just *chef's kiss*

:mjlol:

Was Serena Crip walking some type of deep code for revolution?:ohhh:
You should have been watching her feet. She spelt out 'black power' every time her heels hit the floor.

She wore blue and white, her husband is white, the fact that the color red is missing symbolizes the US not caring about red bloodied Americans. Now that's all of us, but you have to understand that you can't spell United States without us. You can try, but you only end up with Nited Tate, as in Andrew Tate. That's why it's call the redpill, because it's been taken from us aka the U.S.

Coli nikkas don't care about any of that
They wanted him to play songs they could twerk to
its not that breh...respectfully...

full disclosure...im not a fan of dude...or drake....

both have a few songs i tolerate but in all honesty if they both stopped making music my life would go on just fine

my problem is this: somehow kendrick lamar has been transformed into h. rapp brown...i dont know how or why but my guess is young people are looking for someone to speak for them and since he's not a mumble rapper and throws in a conscious reference here and there he's been elevated...way above what he is....dude is as ignorant as the rest of them....in between the conscious songs is bullshyt just like the rest of them

him and drake do those funny voices....but for whatever reason its cool to hate drake now (the group think with this is a whole other thread entirely)...so whatever

yall love kendrick
hate drake

ok....i get it...but let's not act like this was mlk's 'i have a dream' speech

i'd guess that the same people writing think pieces on this beef and the superbowl half-time havent read 3 books post highschool...
