I am liking parts of this so far but 4 eps in and I can tell they should have cut this down to 6 episodes instead of trying to spread Martin's novella out to 10 hours of TV.

After the first two episodes I was ready to call this an unoriginal ripoff of every other "doomed crew on a spooky spaceship" movie. After the "twists" in the 3rd episode I'm at least willing to give them some credit for maybe going in some slightly different directions than it seemed at first.
Its kind of all over the place, actually. A bunch of "supernatural" stuff is happening, and there are at least THREE totally distinct "forces" (from different Sci-Fi genres) that could be behind any of the weird stuff your seeing.

About the "Matrix" scene tonight. Was the implication that
The "ship's" father use to molest her? At the very least, he was hitting her with a belt.
Locking the Cynthia program in with him reminded me of something out of the "White Christmas" episode of Black Mirror. When she escapes from behind the firewall, you know she won't be in a very good mood

I'm not entirely for sure, but she mentioned physical and emotional abuse, so it could have stopped at that
The crew had to do something about her, she's out here tormenting the crew and killing people.

My expectations were really low for this show, and I wasn't sure I'd actually watch it. But I have to admit, since the "twist" in the 3rd episode It's actually been...pretty good? I wouldn't call it great, or "must watch" TV, but its holding my attention enough that I haven't been falling more than one episode behind at a time.
I think I might put this show a little above "Dark Matter", but well below "The Expanse".

Like as a man though.... how aint they feel something was fishy and off when you get on a spaceship thats been gone for years and not find on man on board? All women? Like 5 mins in, I wouldve been went back to my ship or called for back up.
