U need an OLED tv to try to remotely match it.
I mean its still 1080p on a 4k screen so its going to look blurrier than 1080p on a 720p handheld

Isn’t that the point? It was never supposed to translate to docked. 
It doesn’t matter if you have an OLED TV. Docked Switch still looks washed-out on OLED TVs compared to Handheld OLED Switch. Handheld portable OLED Switch does not have the washed-out colors featured in both original and lite Switch versions in both handheld and docked mode.
Handheld OLED Switch is the ONLY mode that Nintendo configured the colors to not be washed-out. The only other way you gonna get that quality is to use Emulators.

Docked Switch games should look the same on OLED Switch as they do on older models.

I mean when majority of games docked plays approximately at 720p it’s going to look bad on a 4k 55+ inch tv. Meanwhile the much smaller screen with not much of a resolution drop. Why would you ever play the OLES switch docked?
