It is Thanksgiving!
And the Lions have their best record at this point of the season since 1962. The NFC North crown is all but assured in Detroit. The division was probably won two months ago when the Lions put on a dominate first half performance at Lambeau Field. Dan Campbell's guys have been consistent all year with only a blowout to Baltimore really staining their resume.
The Packers have one of the youngest rosters in the NFL. It has been clear with an offense full of inexperience from the QB to the WRs to the TEs. There does seem to be some progress with the offense playing better football as of late. The defense has been keeping teams from scoring tons of points but there's been a bit of luck as evidenced by a top Chargers offense leaving TDs on the field with critical drops in GB's win this past Sunday. Green Bay will be without 7 preferred starters.
The roles are reversed in this divisional matchup as Green Bay has been the NFC North leader over the last 3 decades with Favre and Rodgers especially on Thanksgiving. Now Detroit eyes homefield advantage in the NFC postseason to make the road to the Super Bowl go through Detroit, not San Francisco or Philadelphia. Can they put in another dominant performance?
Or will the Packers play better in the trenches and give themselves an unlikely victory in a long-shot bid at a Wild Card spot?
My prediction?

Lions - 34
