charlos got a real chip on their shoulder....nothing wrong with that

I think athletes should be free to express however they feel will put them over the top...but mell Charlo is the same nikka who said he would KO Julian Jackson...dude cries about respect and what he deserves and what Lubin doesn’t deserve, cries about how the media treats him then in the same breath shyts on the media

:mjlol: one of the media asked him basically if his attitude was a result of him having to cut so much weight

Lara, Gausha, Charlo, Lubin, Hurd and Trout All Make Weight

By Keith Idec

Erickson Lubin promised Jermell Charlo on Friday afternoon that he’ll take what Charlo has Saturday night.

Charlo and Lubin were animated as they yelled at one another following their weigh-in at Barclays Center in Brooklyn for their 154-pound title fight at the same site Saturday night.

Houston’s Charlo weighed in at 153.6 pounds. Lubin, of Orlando, Florida, stepped on the New York State Athletic Commission’s scale at 153.4 pounds.

The 27-year-old Charlo (29-0, 14 KOs) will make a second straight mandatory defense of his WBC super welterweight championship against the 22-year-old Lubin (18-0, 13 KOs).

Each of the other four fighters scheduled to compete in Showtime’s 154-pound championship tripleheader also made weight Friday for their scheduled 12-round fights Saturday night.

Houston’s Erislandy Lara (24-4-2, 14 KOs), a Cuban southpaw who owns the WBA and IBO super welterweight titles, weighed in at 153.6 pounds for his main event against Terrell Gausha (20-0, 9 KOs). Cleveland’s Gausha, a 2012 Olympian, weighed 153.2 pounds.

Lara is heavily favored to defeat the unbeaten but untested Gausha.

Earlier Friday, Jarrett Hurd (20-0, 14 KOs), of Accokeek, Maryland, got on the NYSAC’s scale at 153.6 pounds for the first defense of his IBF junior middleweight title against Austin Trout (30-3, 17 KOs). Trout, a former WBA super welterweight champion from Las Cruces, New Mexico, weighed in at 153 pounds.

The Hurd-Trout bout will open Showtime’s three-fight telecast at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
