Hurd had a dead man in front of him and couldn't KO him.

Cotto doesn't hit as hard, nor have the reach advantage of Hurd though, so you have to take what you saw with a grain of salt, plus Cotto has gotten worse as well, you just don't see it because Cotto fights no hopes for PPV now.
