It's not that people think it's perfectly ok, it's partly because people just assume that athletes all sleep around, and it's also partly because their personal relationships are more of a
topic. The fact that DAngelo and Nick are teammates who we associate with being on the same team on the basketball court makes this a basketball topic, and in basketball terms, this is one teammate betraying another. It's why we talked about Tony Parker and Brent Barry but we never talked about NBA players hooking up with girls who were married to non NBA players.
So in a relationships forum, Nick would be getting most of the blame but in a basketball forum, DAngelo snitching on Nick is a bigger issue than Nick cheating on his girl.

You copping pleas breh! Even though both situations are despicable, that shyt Kobe did was more foul & bytchmade than Russell because he actually snitched to the cops about Shaq & involved Shaq in a criminal case that had nothing to do with him.
Kobe was scared of potential prison time and reacted like a panicking bytch. D'angelo just snitched for no reason. Both sides is snitches but I could understand Kobe talked out of the heat of the moment. His mind was not in the right place and he was shook. That slight difference is a lot a big one.

Just because Kobe's "mind was not in the right place and he was shook" still doesn't make his actions less reprehensible nor excusable. And Kobe snitched "for no reason" as well because Shaq cheating on his wife with random thots & paying them hush money (supposedly) had completely nothing to do with Kobe's own personal situation that night in regards to allegedly raping a woman in Colorado.
Furthermore, Kobe's comments to law enforcement also could have got Shaq in serious trouble legally while costing him extra money to defend himself, not to mention a loss of past or future sponsors/endorsements. So Kobe's actions as a stool pigeon were definitely more extreme & heinous when compared to D'angelo Russell & Swaggy P situation.

Kobe was panicking like a hoe. Career could of possibly went down the drain and 20 years in jail had him snitching on everybody from shaq to the teacher that gave him a F on a school assignment.
