All of this! As a person from Chicago I have mentioned this countless times. Its not part of the narrative. Somehow R kelly....a man who can't read was doing all this under the noses of grown folks, cops, record label folks and parents.

I felt less and less sympathy towards everyone involved by the end of this.
KRS-Two has some nerve tryna tell people not to play his music. I bought those CD's, so I get to do whatever the fukk I want with them. He already got my money If I wanna Step In The Name of Love while I mop my kitchen, then that's what I'm gonna do.
I forget who it was who said it, but she tried to justify the decisions of the girls, even the grown ones talkin bout "well girls' heads and decision making isn't fully completed until their mid twenties", but let a teenage boy do some dumb shyt and they're treated like grown ass men who shoulda known better. I'll never defend what he did to underage girls, but after a while, if y'all notice as it went along it was "_____ met R. Kelly when she was 19." And this isn't when nobody really knew how bad R.Kelly was. A lot of this was well after the tape, the trial, all that and these broads still tryna build a relationship with a old ass R. Kelly.
