Former Death Row singer Michel’le offered her rebuttal to
Straight Outta Compton this past Saturday (Oct. 15) with her Lifetime film
Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le. Dre has
threatened to sue Sony Pictures over the film, which depicts the alleged physical abuse he committed throughout the years. Watching the film,
former Death Row artist Daz Dillinger had some gripes of his own, posting a pair of videos to Instagram.
“Did you see where Suge Knight was talking to Tupac like that in her movie?” he says in the above video. “I don’t recall no shyt like that. Tupac wasn’t going for no shyt like that. I wouldn’t go for no shyt like that or we’d have a lot of fights. I ain’t heard of no shyt like that. bytch lie.”
Michel’le
appeared on The Wendy Williams Show early last week to discuss the film, saying that she welcomed any lawsuit and that testimonials would help the truth come out. “I didn’t want to do this movie,” she told Williams, saying that her film seeks to tell parts of the story that
Straight Outta Compton left out. “When I was absent from their movie, the people started talking and then they made the opportunity visible.”
Daz offers more commentary, saying during a scene in which Michel’le and Suge Knight have a reconciliation, “Look at Suge Knight. He getting the p*ssy. She vulnerable. Pay a bytch bills, treat her right, care about her, call her every morning.”
